Engineering 

Redraft required: Site plan needs to be included that shows the entire site and it's existing improvements, easements, property lines, etc.

Redraft required: Show all storm connections on the utility plan (ie trench drain connections).

Supplementary material required: Impervious area is being added to the site with these improvements. An updated stormwater management report will need to be submitted for review. This added impervious area for the courtyard will need to be included in the detention requirements for the site. Stormwater plan needs to be stamped by a P.E. licensed in the State of Wisconsin. Submit copies of any electronic data files for calcs or modeling for City Engineering records to Tim Troester at ttroester@cityofmadison.com (if calcs are done by hand submit PDF(s) of sheets).

Supplementary material required: Provide disturbed area for this projects. If 4,000 sf of more is being disturbed an Erosion Control permit will be required. Include permit application, permit fees and USLE worksheet. If 20,000 sf or more area is being disturbed an erosion control plan will also be required. The permit application form can be found on the City's website at http://www.cityofmadison.com/engineering/documents/ErosionPermit.pdf

Supplementary material required: Submit PDF's of the revised/final plans for Engineering records. File(s) can be emailed to Tim Troester at ttroester@cityofmadison.com

Engineering Mapping 

Supplementary material required: Following completion of all "redraft" revisions, the applicant shall submit, prior to plan sign-off, a digital CAD file (single file) to the Engineering Program Specialist in the Engineering Division (Lori Zenchenko). The digital CAD file shall be to scale and represent final construction. The single CAD file submittal can be either AutoCAD (dwg) Version 2001 or older, MicroStation (dgn) Version J or older, or Universal (dxf) format and contain the only the following data, each on a separate layer name/level number: a) Building Footprints; b) Internal Walkway Areas; c) Internal Site Parking Areas; d) Other Miscellaneous Impervious Areas (i.e. gravel, crushed stone, bituminous/asphalt, concrete, etc.); e) Right-of-Way lines (public and private); f) All Underlying Lot lines or parcel lines if unplatted; g) Lot numbers or the words “unplatted”; h) Lot/Plat dimensions; i) Street names. All other levels (contours, elevations, etc) are not to be included with this file submittal. NOTE: Email file transmissions preferred Lzenchenko@cityofmadison.com . Include the site address in the subject line of this transmittal. Any changes or additions to the location of the building, sidewalks, parking/pavement during construction will require a new CAD file.

Supplementary material required: Identify the landscaping shown on the Courtyard Plan sheet A-2. Show species names and sizes of landscape elements. Identify whether the landscape elements are existing, new, or relocated from elsewhere on the site.
